PGNA BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mary Frances West - Executive Director

Mary Frances West - Executive Director

Mary is a dedicated community leader with more than ten years of experience serving children and families. As the youngest of four children raised in the Lawrence housing projects, Mary understands firsthand the challenges that families living in government-assisted housing can face. Her personal experiences, combined with her education in Human Services, have inspired her passion for advocacy, community empowerment, and creating opportunities for families to thrive. Through her work with Presidential Gardens Neighborhood Association (PGNA), Mary is committed to ensuring residents feel heard, respected, supported, and connected to the resources they need to build stronger futures.

Sandi Orsillo - President

“I have lived at Presidential Gardens for almost 10 years and have served on the PGNA Board of Directors for eight of those years. I recently had the honor of being elected President. I love living here because it feels like our own little community, away from the traffic and congestion of other parts of Haverhill. It is a beautiful neighborhood with many benefits for residents, including a food pantry, youth council programs, homework help for our kids, and a summer youth program.”

Michael Pertakis - Chairperson

“I have lived here for 21 years. I love this place and have called Presidential Gardens home for many years. I’m proud to serve on the board and be part of this community.”

Jose Luis Rodriguez - Vice President

“I have lived here for 18 years. It is a safe place where the residents of our community are given priority.”

Marilyn Kelleher - Treasurer

“I have lived here for 40 years and have seen so many improvements. I truly love this place, the wonderful neighbors, and the sense of safety I feel here. I’m proud to be a board member and to help support our residents.”

Iris C. - Clerk

“ I have lived here since 2019 and I truly love this place. I have wonderful neighbors and I feel safe here. It’s just really nice area to live in. The complex is very close to 495 in a small shopping mall overall a very decent place to live.”

Susan Webb-Cantara - Board Member
